Soul's supposed to be doin' a lot of things now. He's supposed to be working on his homework and actually getting it done for once. He's supposed to be makin' dinner for when Crona comes over sooner or later. Then there's that stupid chore list Maka left him with 'coz he lost a bet with her.

He's not really doing any of that. He'd stuck one of his brother's recordings on the turnstile and crashed on the couch with some 'required reading', but ended up falling asleep with the book as a lightshield for his face, rather than something even being read.

....oops?

Really now, whatever had he been doing last night to leave him so tired?

Soul can still manage, even if Crona doesn't want to sit down. He reaches back for each of Crona's hands, pulling him forward. "Close as you can," he says. "Wanna show you something."

Soul puts an arm around Crona, taking his left hand in his own once again. "I want you to trust me and try something, okay?"

"Whenever I put your hand over a key, just press down on it. I'll show you everything to do, so just relax and listen."

He even starts off with his free hand, just to prove they'll be doing it together!

Crona just had to be adorable, didn't he? That always made it hard to focus, whether it was on classwork, something someone was saying, or now - on making sure to hit the right keys himself. He stumbles it a bit, hitting a high note too hard, before catching himself and breathing.

Yeah. Okay. There we go. He can do this now, right?

It's a pretty simple song that he tries to lead Crona through, one of the first he ever learned, but it's also one he likes a lot.

Yeah, that beam has totally got Soul transfixed. He can't help but grin doofily at the look on Crona's face, and he's not concentrating on the keys at all, anymore.

"Yer really great," he mumbles, the statement heartfelt. "Just damn awesome."
