Oh well. That went. Okay it went horribly but THINGS COULD BE WORSE.
So Soul walks, maybe limps, but he's fine, all in all, and he's still excited-- that took the edge off of most of it, actually-- about Crona. So, of course, the best thing to do is, next day, when school's closing and the floods of students are going out, to hang back, send Maka to her studying, and wait up for Crona.
When he sees her, he figures... he'll go ahead and grab her hand, just being comforting, then pass a smile, confident and cocky as ever. Anything was worth bearing for this, after all.

She hates crowds, they make her nervous. Well. A lot of things make her nervous, but she does not want to be nervous right now... more than she has to be.

He leads her, not tugging, but a slow, easy pace towards some of the smaller shops in town, away from the more crowded streets. He locates a cafe, something with seats on the cobblestone streets, but not altogether too displayed. Comfortable, if sweet and appropriate.
"You think this place would work? We could sit out in the daylight when we eat."

"Th-thank you," she says, and smiles briefly, holding onto his hand more tightly.

"No problem," he laughs, giving a nod. "Shall we, then?" He asks, in his best, polite voice, with a half bow and a gesture to the nearest table.

"'Kay," she says, that quiet voice of hers almost calm for once, and takes a seat at that table.

A waiter comes for their drink orders, and he just gets a soda. It's more about spending time with her than what he's chowing down on, anyway.

>Would you like to date
>Yes
>Would you like to go somewhere
>Okay
......
She flushes deeply and covers her face, a sudden squeak coming out before she can stop it.

Has he done something wrong? Did she get something funny? He worries, first and foremost, and forgets, when you hear hoofbeats, think horse, not zebra.
Thinkin' zebra right now.
"Crona?"

She trails off, unable to put the concept into words for just a moment. " - o-on a-a date!"
...and it hasn't killed her, yet!

"I like spendin' time with you."

Her voice is quiet and hesitant, but completely honest, in a way she can never bring herself to be around most.
